Awesome Easy Elf on the Shelf Ideas

elf-on-the-shelf-ideas-2

As every parent knows, the Elf on the Shelf is known to do some pretty quirky things come the holidays. This elfish tradition started a few years ago as a way to persuade kids to behave—after all, their Elf on the Shelf, which magically appears in the house every December 1, is always watching. Yep, even when Santa is too busy tending to the reindeer or fixing his sleigh. Your Elf on the Shelf is Santa's little helper who reports back to the North Pole, checking that list not once but twice. So, you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout!

But what started as a harmless way to keep kids' tantrums in check has turned into a phenomenon of its own. The Elf on the Shelf doesn't just prop himself up on the table or curl his little arms around the banister anymore...

Nowadays, the Elf on the Shelf has gotten a whole lot more mischievous (as parents get more and more creative). You can find him quarantining in his own little coronavirus-proof quarters, turning the sink water into gummy bears, and even roasting marshmallows over a candle. Whether you're looking for funny Elf on the Shelf ideas or easy ideas, there's a whole lot you can do with your little Elf this year.

Need some festive inspiration for what to do with your Elf on the Shelf? Here's our cheat sheet of 101 easy and funny Elf on the Shelf Ideas for the holidays.
